Message Therapy at Method
Our Massage Therapists use a variety of techniques including deep-focused work and light stretching. Whether you desire an indulgent, relaxing massage, need soft tissue work on a long-term injury or are seeking relief from the postural aches and pains deskwork creates, our Massage Therapists will meet you where you are.
Swedish – a lighter touch that includes long, gliding strokes, kneading, and can incorporate light stretching when needed. This technique is beneficial for relaxation, reducing muscle soreness and tension, increased blood flow and lymphatic drainage, as well as improving immune function and promoting deeper rest. It is a known complement to traditional Western medicine and can be highly effective in reducing symptoms associated with chronic illness such as cancer, depression, insomnia.
Deep tissue – a focused, deeper level of muscle work that involves applying sustained pressure using slow, deep strokes to target the inner layers of your muscles and connective tissues. This helps to break up scar tissue that forms following an injury and reduce tension in muscle and tissue. It is used to treat muscle and tendon injuries, pain, and stiffness in your major muscle groups and joints.
